Today we unbox, setup & install our new Hydor Professional 350 external canister filter we picked up from Big Al's over the holiday season. This unit was super affordable for the quality and cost us only $150 CDN or under $115 USD. Links will be included below if you want more info.
We were super impressed with our new Hydor Pro 350 canister filter, it delivers tons of flow at an affordable price. It is rated for aquariums between 60-100 gallons with 280 gph flow rate without media, 240 gph flow rate with media.
The Hydor Professional line does come full of media and is ready to setup from the box. It includes filter sponge, filter floss and quartz bio rings. The unit also comes with both a spray bar and a jet attachment which is a big bonus. It is super easy to install and put together however you like.
Our favourite part about the Hydor Professional 350 is the power it has. When we set it all up it was beyond simple to prime and it really flowed. There is very little loss of flow when media is added which is great.
The Hydor Professional canister filters have a 2 year manufacturer's warranty.
Overall we are beyond pleased so far and look forward to seeing it when it's time to service and main the canister filter. We will keep you updated!
