Giesemann T5 Lighting for Planted Tanks Super Flora, Tropic + PAR Testing 🌿 Mega Build

Today we unbox and install the planted aquarium lighting we will be using for our 75 gallon aquascape project. As some of you may know, we are tearing down our current tank and redoing the home of our large cichlid. We look at 2 different lighting options to see which will work best for our needs and the needs of our upcoming planted tank.
We will be using the Giesemann T5 reflectors and bulbs on this planted tank project. They currently carry 2 different freshwater aquarium T5 bulb options, the Super Flora and the Tropic. Both have come highly recommended among several truly amazing aquascapers. We look forward to testing each bulb and seeing the results for ourselves.
The Super Flora is specially designed for planted tanks and many have come to rely on this aquarium lighting option. We also hear many good things about the Giesemann Tropic bulbs. Which one is going to work best? We will go further in depth later on in the video with the PAR testing results.
We went with 2 39W, roughly 3 foot long bulbs over our 75 gallon. Both bulbs put out a higher amount of light as you will be able to see from the par testing results. This planted aquarium lighting option was an affordable option for us. We were able to use some equipment we already had. Mike made a DIY hanging light mount which you will see later on in the video. It came together well and is working as intended.
We look forward to putting these bulbs to use on our own tank and observing and sharing the results. We have high hopes for this highly recommended lighting system.
