The Hitachi-UTokyo Laboratory (H-UTokyo Lab.) was established in 2016 by the University of Tokyo and Hitachi. H-UTokyo Lab has pioneered the industry-academia collaboration model in Japan, with the goal of realizing Society 5.0, a super smart society where people can lead secure, comfortable, energetic and high-quality lives, and where no one is left behind. We are determined to build the sustainable smart city we are promoting through the Habitation Innovation Project: “Urban transformation through living” initiative.
