While sailing above the Arctic Circle on one of he Hurtigruten ships that combine delivery of supplies to remote towns in northern Norway with passenger cruises, I had the opportunity to take a ride on a dog sled pulled by a team of Huskies. It was bumpier than I expected, and a little like a roller coaster in places; in other words, a totally exhilarating experience. The adventure also included a tour of the Snow Hotel in Kirkenes, Norway, and a visit to the reindeer park, where I scratched the nose of an albino reindeer.
