More than 200 people gathered outside Children’s Park in Chico to protest U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement following two fatal shootings involving ICE officers in Houston, Texas, and Biddeford, Maine. The peaceful demonstration honored Lorenzo Salgado Araujo and Johan Sebastián Durán Guerrero as protesters called for accountability and changes to federal immigration enforcement.
