President Donald Trump defended his family’s tax settlement after a reporter questioned whether they were receiving special treatment from the IRS.
Trump claimed the agreement had been settled before he entered politics but was later reopened and “weaponized” against him after he announced his presidential campaign. He also voiced support for a fund intended to compensate people who Republicans say were unfairly targeted by the federal government, though he said he would not personally participate in it.
Trump was also asked about Todd Blanche and briefly criticized MS NOW during the exchange.
