The Israeli military said it hit about 1,300 Hezbollah targets in southern and eastern Lebanon on September 23, 2024. The air strikes killed at least 492 people and injured thousands more, making it the deadliest day in decades in Lebanon. Israel has been warning civilians to leave sites where the militant group is operating. Tens of thousands of residents in southern Lebanon have reportedly fled their homes.
