A noise reduction pedal. I've used a number of noise suppressors but they always seemed to take away a bit of tone or compress the signal too much. But this one seems very close to transparent. The Boss NS2 is a good example of one I could never get quite right. This one seems right,, right out of the box. I see on the box their price was $117.50 new. Not sure what they go for now.
