Join Dr. John Vervaeke in this transformative exercise calls us to deepen our mindfulness, acknowledging and embracing our inherent limitations and blind spots, to foster wisdom and self-knowledge.

In the practice, we confront four profound realities: the sheer vastness of what we don't know about ourselves and the world (Facts), the inevitability of what we'll never know due to our circumstances (Fate), the willful blindness born out of our foolishness, and the unseen due to our faults. Yet, these aren't meant to discourage us, but rather to instill a sense of humility and provoke a profound sense of wonder.

With a mindful breathing technique, Dr. Vervaeke then guides us to turn this humility into an enriching experience of wonder and receptivity. As we inhale, we wonder inwardly and outwardly, questioning our understanding of ourselves and the world. As we exhale, we open ourselves to receive insights from the depths of our psyche and the world.

This practice aims to help us achieve a state of "wonder-filled receptivity," blending profound humility with a transcendent sense of wonder. Challenge your screen time habits and invest in becoming wiser and more virtuously connected with yourself, others, and the world. Find time for this 25-minute practice that promises to be a valuable tool in your journey to self-realization and growth.

Tune in to learn how to be your own Socrates, and maybe even a Socrates to others. As always, thank you for your time and attention. Let the humble wonder practice guide your path to wisdom.
