I'll start with my spending report since I forgot to mention it in the video: I have spent a little since my last share but I used money that was already earmarked for craft supplies -- a small YouTube check and a birthday gift certificate -- so I'm of the opinion that it doesn't count, right? I bought the February sequin release at SpiegelMom Scraps and a few clearance collection kits from Echo Park including some hard-to-find Steven Duncan releases. Also in this time frame I've completely refreshed/rebuilt my "main go-to kit" for both Scrap Backwards and How to Kill a Kit ....with Style, and I've moved it back onto my desk so that the items in it will be first and foremost as I start a page. It has a lot that was in my previous (very well-used and depleted) kit (minus the Christmas-themed supplies and more than a few pieces I decided I'd never use including stickers and ephemera with phrases that I didn't think I'd ever use on a page). Then I added lots from the amazing happy mail box from my friend Sharon. The kit, by definition, also automatically contains my stash of fussy cuttable papers, Bramble Fox goodies, enamel dots, bling, twine, sequins, etc. that are all handy -- and of course mixed media supplies like stamps and inks and paints and stencils may be used depending on the challenges I may be doing.
All of that is my way now saying that I'm all set up for success in my quest to use what I have and to make purchases mindfully, if at all. In the Freeze Facebook group I've set a goal of creating 50 pages before spending anything and I'm more than halfway there. I have my eye on a couple of collections and some Bramble Fox goodies to go with them when the time comes.
