Well, I thought I wouldn't quite make it! A little commemorative video for my 2-year anniversary on YT. And in honor of the content of my channel, an HTTYD vid to Michael Card, or rather, an instrumental piece on the Card album "Unveiled Hope" (songs on the book of Revelation). I call this "Learning to Fly" because it was in my time on YT where I learned the art of video-editing, first through iMovie and then Adobe Premiere Pro. So expects lots of Hiccup and Toothless' flights, from Hiccup's first creation of the tail to the many glorious adventures in the air. I only used the movie and the GotNF short, since those were my first HTTYD material.

According to my diary, it was my sister who got me to create an account here. So it was appropriate that this time we shared a headphone jack and kind of shared the making of this video. We both had lots of fun! :)

Like on most websites I joined, I planned on reaching people through the tags, and never in any personal way. So I never did expect to find such wonderful friendships as I have found now, two years later! Like Hiccup's unexpected friendship with Toothless, things couldn't have been more surprising! I started posting Michael Card lyric videos for the benefit of some of his songs that had few posts on YT (like my ultimate favorite "Then They Will Know," my first vid, which had ONLY ONE other vid for the song). I scattered a few holiday patriotic specials along the way, with requested Card lyric vids and kind of ran iMovie to its artistic ends. HTTYD infused in me a desire to aspire again video-wise, so in came Premiere Pro. Luckily it timed well with a school need for software!

From then on, I've been on a most unexpected adventure. ;) There are friends here I treasure and editors I've come to greatly admire. More than a place to celebrate Hiccup and Toothless, it's also a place for me to reflect that friendship with others.

And so here I'll be, making tributes to my favorite characters on screen, and making videos that praise the Lord through the lyrics of Michael Card.

And hopefully I have many more years here!

Oh -- and about a couple minutes late for the EXACT anniversary XD (Feb 24).
