✎ Great Odin Ghost y'all!!! It finally dropped and I have been an absolute mess 😭
Ahh, I have to say, I am NOT disappointed in it. Granted there are some design choices on Toothless that are a little off I'm just relieved he has so much expression and life. I am also now confident that Mason will make a convincing Hiccup, and overall everything looked very promising.
I understand people have mixed feelings on a LA adaption (I do as well), but I feel more happy and excited to get the chance to relieve the movie anew again after 15 years. Plus, the fact that we are getting the same director (Dean Deblois), same composer (John Powell) and also Gerald Butler is reprising Stoick, I think its going to be special. 🙏🥹

Okay....so I manged to pull an old project outta the shadows and make one final upload before school starts. HA!
Ive had A LOT of inspiration for Star Wars lately. This was the 1st one I started once The Last Jedi came out in HD and Ive been dragging my feet on the last 10 secs I suppose. Eh, it always looks better in my head than on YT but oh well.
I FREAKIN CANNOT WAIT FOR EPISODE IX THIS YEAR!!!! OMG, next to HTTYD3, & Frozen 2, THIS movie has me most hyped. I guess its my most anticipated live action film you could say. Dont get me wrong, I am SUPER PUMPED for Marvel with End Game but.....IDK, Star Wars has more of my heart right now. Maybe it was how Infinity War ended. It was good but didnt it leave ya with a kinda numb, dead feeling inside when you walked out of the theater?? I know The Last Jedi is the most criticized, hated Star Wars film by most, but for me, it is my FAVORITE! And when I walked outta that theater after first watching it, Im still reeling from it all to this day. xD
Also this is my 2nd vid after upgrading to Vegas Pro 16. I would say yay but, eh ever since MAGIX bought out Vegas from Sony I feel its gotten much more unstable. Editing vids now is such an ordeal; it seems to crash all the time now! Hopefully itll get patched up. On the plus side, I have a ton load of new effects I dont know what to do with. I used several here....maybe thats why it crashes every 5 mins. Ugh.

I kept the letterbox (black bars), or made it non-fullscreen. That is a first since my very very very 1st HTTYD vid. Why you ask? Well, Ive been into the cinematic editing style and trying to mimic it. Black bars isnt necessary but it seems cooler. The key technique that makes it cinematic IMHO, are Action Cuts/Transitions. So thats what I was practicing here...at least 1:03 to the end. Thats the only part Id say to qualify as being more cinematic, but its still a mess. Cinematic has become my favorite style of editing I would like to master xD
