Hello. I made this video as part of my assignment for woodwork in my final year of high school for my guitar, which I will be using in many future videos. This project is the reason I haven't been active for the past 4-5 months on YouTube.
This video shows all pickup combinations possible with a three on/off switch + coil split function array on a guitar.
The bridge pickup seems to be wired out of phase to the other single coil pickups, so when it's used with any other pickup a lot of the output drops, and the sound goes very thin.
The guitar is fully shielded, in the control cavity, around the output jack and in the pickup cavities, as well as the cover plate itself, plus the bridge is grounded. However, the guitar still produces some noise when the strings aren't muted by the hand. This is due to the lack of shielding on the front of the pickups themselves, being plastic covers/no cover at all on the humbucker.
