HS2 Curzon Street is changing fast.

In this latest construction update, we visit Birmingham's Curzon Street Station, where one of Britain's largest infrastructure projects has reached another major milestone.

The foundations are now complete, with more than 2,000 reinforced concrete piles supporting what will become one of the UK's most ambitious railway stations. Construction is now moving above ground as engineers begin building the station's main structure.

In this video, you'll discover:

✔ The latest construction progress at HS2 Curzon Street
✔ Why over 2,000 deep foundation piles were needed
✔ How massive pile caps and ground beams support the station
✔ The engineering behind the HS2 approach viaducts
✔ Why Curzon Street is central to Birmingham's regeneration
✔ The impact of cancelling the northern HS2 extension to Manchester
✔ The debate over whether HS2 should eventually be completed

Curzon Street isn't just a railway station. It's designed to become the heart of a major regeneration project, bringing new homes, offices, public spaces, and improved transport connections to Birmingham's Eastside.

Although the cancellation of HS2's northern leg has changed the project's original vision, construction in Birmingham continues to make visible progress with every visit.

What do you think?

Should HS2 eventually be extended to Manchester, or should Birmingham remain the final destination?
