I'm not dead!
Song: Eternal Shrine Maiden
Game: The Highly Responsive to Prayers
Composer: ZUN
Arranged by: くろうばあ (source: nicovideo.jp/watch/sm17021138, also youtube.com/watch?v=MwknFmlnrTQ)
A nostalgic song. Don't you miss the old times once in a while? Pixellated times, I mean, I'm nowhere near old enough to reminisce about... dunno, the sixties?.
I was born in the 90s, and it's still hard to grasp that the current decade isn't the 2000s one. |3 Of course that makes me feel old! But oh well, you can't stop time unless you work as a maid.
Highly Responsive to Prayers is a nice game after all. Somewhat unpolished, but it has an interesting concept and its music is one of the best from the series, IMO. Although most if not all Touhou music is good, so~
Geez, it seems like this'll take aleph-1 seconds to upload. "Girls are now praying" indeed. I'll go and watch Danmakufu warmly while this gets ready.
And this is indeed Reimu's theme. Eternal Shrine Maiden and, as someone said in another video's comments, we're waiting for the 24th game and Reimu is still there at the front of Touhou. Heheh~
P.S.: As soon as I have more spare time I'll try to bring this to completion, at least for HrTP.
P.S.2: Oh sheesh, the image quality got botched again. Then again, it's not the principal reason to come here, is it? .-.

![Nostalgia Time: So I still remember how LM works...
(Disclaimer as usual: I do not own Super Mario Bros., Lunar Magic, etc., but I made the level showcased here and some of the custom sprites shown.)
So, boredom strikes again. c: Digging through my old computer I found an almost (almost) non-glitchy version of the SMW hack I used to work on forever ago. Really forever ago: it seems that most of the work here was done during 2006 and 2007, and I more or less quitted SMW hacking at some point during 2008 [?] due to several nonsensical reasons, among them breaking the main copy of the hack and another one I was working on and general loss of interest. I didnt know, in fact, I had such a recent backup.
After finding it, I also noticed that very recently Lunar Magic v2.20 had been released. Given that the last version I got to use was v1.67 and I was struck with some serious nostalgia, I got curious about how much had changed in it. You know, custom sprites were still a kind of novel thing at the time I was into SMW hacking (a couple years before I learned about Touhou) and via trial and error I learned some basic ASM and could create some relatively interesting custom blocks and sprites, such as quicksand (not shown here) and the Fire Nipper that features prominently in this. I also recall making a Bully and a Big Bully (which didnt get a release) a couple months before a way better one was released by someone else (leading to me never releasing mine |3).
Well then, I decided to make a new level out of boredom and fix some glitches with the olhack. I dont think Ill really go back to SMW hacking, and this video was purely made out of boredom+nostalgia and for fun, so dont expect cool level design or something that wouldve been a novelty after 2008. But, who knows, if I get bored enough I might try to finish this after I make some reasonable progress on my Touhou Project project (ha ha ha).
Thanks for reading~ |3 If Im bored enough, Ill make a video about some of the original levels of this hack, instead of this one I made during this weekend as an excuse to abuse the Fire Nipper. :3
PS: Sorry for the serious lag at some points. I made the mistake of using old Blocktool instead of newer versions (which didnt exist when I started working on this) and never really got to update before I broke the game. (I do not own anything related to this video)
Title: Mankind Salvation Plan ~ The Greatest Salvation
Composer: Wanwan
Game: The Last Comer (Touhou fangame)
I like this track~
This is the final boss theme from The Last Comer, a Touhou fangame released for Touhou Danmakufu recently. As you can see, the game borrows heavily from Christian imagery. ORIGINAL CHARMANDER DO NOT SPHEAL //ohwait
Okay, the disclaimer as usual: Touhou Project is the intellectual property of ZUN/Team Shanghai Alice, I do not own it nor its characters in any way, in particular the playable character Marisa Kirisame, and the character showcased here as the boss is a fan character, designed by me, from a fangame created as an homage to Touhou Project.
So weve come to this. My small project has come back from the dead, and Ive been working on the bosses from Stage 4 and 5. This is a survival spellcard designed for the Stage 5 Boss, on which Im not giving more information than whats given in the video itself for now.
Well, its still a long way until I have something thats actually releasable. At the very least I should make two more stages so I can release a working demo at some point. Its been fun nonetheless!
I hope I can get this project to a state that could be called completion. Of course, I could fill the whole game with copies of the same fairies ever and ever, but Id like this to be a quality project (under the constraints of my own skills, of course, I dont expect to make something on the level of ZUN or ido because I dont have the skill, the expertise or the free time needed) and, moreso, that the people who eventuallyll get to play this enjoy it (so Ill have to tone down the worst BS patterns :3).
Nonetheless, Im doing this just for fun (staving off boredom is its own profit), but doing this for fun isnt really an excuse to release a terrible product, unless thats the whole point, joke games ahoy (hello, Chaos Complexx).
Soon Ill get to the point in which some real feedback would be super useful. Who knows whatll happen then~

Song: Monster of God and Creator ~ Tears of Roses (Eria Kanreis Theme)
Composer: LENK64
Original from: Nansei 09.5 - Destructive Force Monster
I was dead for more than a month? Oh my. Well, then the theme of a dead monster is totally fitting, trust me.
Sorry for the large gap between the previous video in this series and this one. Real life issues took over badly; thank my thesis work for eating all of my time, I guess. But nyeh, this isnt the place to complain, is it?
I like this song a lot. Its so strong and yet so emotional, something thats quite hard to do well. Although I was a liiiitle bit tempted to put the pre-battle theme (Huge Kanrei Shrine) because its one of my favorite Nansei themes too. But this one is too good to skip. Its getting harder and harder to choose only one for each game, isnt it?
Its cool to see how LENK64s music has improved with time, too. Evolution! And were only halfway, what is awaiting us in the future (of this playlist)? Wont it be interesting to see?
Hope the next video doesnt have such a large gap before release. Im starting to go the ReviewerRandom way, nyeh... Even though I dont publish stuff often to begin with.
Next, Experienced Resident!
P.S.: I uploaded this at 4:28 AM yesterday, but YouTube imploded at the last minute, so this wasnt made public. Now thats fixed, so enjoy~

The panties youkai is back!
Well, Im not sure if I should comment on this development. :3 Then again, I suppose Kodomo finds collecting... objects of her interest more fun than doing her homework. I guess that the lesson to be learned here is that you can get to star in your own game if youre enough of a pervert (?).
She also seems to have learned something from a certain amanojaku. Cheating your way to pant... victory, I mean, victory, indeed~
I wonder whats Marielas favorite subject. I know shes supposed to be a teacher of all (shes more than 1000 years old after all, enough time to learn all of the stuff well) but she must have some preferences...

First, Im sorry for taking so long between uploads of the Nansei extension selection. Real life is in the way, you see.
Im currently writing the second draft of my thesis, so this song is oddly fitting. ^^; This has been consuming all of my time since a couple weeks ago, and I expect it to take two more weeks to get to a semi-definitive state (yeah, itll be longer than what I planned for...). Thus, all my projects, including Danmakufu and the Nansei playlist, are halted for the time being.
Yknow, I was never that much of a Sonic fan when I was a child I was more on the Nintendo side of things, although I always lagged behind the state-of-the-art consoles for a good 10 years at least. But I enjoyed the Genesis games quite a lot and, uh... not much else. No access to a Gamecube in the adequate moment, much less a Dreamcast.
But yeah, recently @sonic_hedgehog reactivated my interest on the Sonic series (so yeah Im a living proof of the meme-based approach actually working in some cases) and I decided to give the olgames (and a few fangames) a try. Of course, I only checked those from Steam, so Ive missed quite a few staples of the series. Including the (in)famous Sonic 2006.
Yeah. The so-called worst game in the series. The one that made the franchise become a joke in the eyes of some. (Although apparently now a challenger approached called Rise of Lyric...)
I have no idea on if its actually that bad. It probably is, but I dont have the means to try it, and I dont feel like doing an effort in that direction for some reason. However, this game (and some of its successors, such as Shadow the Hedgehog) seemed to give way to a weird situation in which everything related to Sonic seemed to suck and everybody knew how to fix Sonic... and nobody agreed on what to do. Some things are cringeworthy, to be honest, reaching absurd levels of entitlement.
Then again, S2006s storyline sounds like a bad Sonic fanfic at some points. However, given that it apparently *had* a plot at some point during development, maybe if it wasnt rushed it couldve turned out to be something slightly more palatable... Or maybe Im just being delusional (?). However, the music is epic in several ways. If theres a justification for this trainwreck of a game ever existing, its its soundtrack, and you should listen to it. These tracks, for Crisis City, were also reedited on Sonic Generations, which is actually a good game in my humble opinion.
(Although, Ill be honest. Looking at videos of Crisis City and suppressing previous knowledge of how terrible it apparently is, Id think whoa, this seems interesting. Crisis City looks cool, and its a good thing that they decided to keep it for Generations).
Either way, I hope Sonic Mania means Sonic has a chance to shine again. Expectations are higher than usual at least...
Hope you enjoy the video! Ill resume the Nansei playlist when my thesis reaches a more satisfactory level... Meanwhile, take a listen to my lifes current sound track. :3

![The Black Mages - KURAYAMINOKUMO [Extended]
(I do not own Final Fantasy, the music, etc.; the brand Final Fantasy III, together with the Cloud of Darkness character, belong to Square Enix, The Black Mages belongs to Nobuo Uematsu, etc.; background image is a modified version of Final Fantasy III/Dissidia: Final Fantasy official art and not made by me unless we count applying some cheap filters over it)
Song title: KURAYAMINOKUMO
Composer: Nobuo Uematsu - version by The Black Mages
Game: Final Fantasy III
Its been a while since I uploaded a song extension, eh?
As you can see, this is Cloud of Darkness theme, extended to last 26 minutes. No, rather, this is the most epic remix of this theme Ive managed to find. Its interesting, how much you can do with a theme that originally lasted less than 70 seconds, right?
Cloud of Darkness is too underrated. She (he?) really needs more appreciation as a villain; at least Dissidia attempts to fix that. Still, its a bit disappointing that not many people seem to be interested in this theme, not even in the remake teams themselves... I mean, I get it might be for stylistic reasons, but I still feel kinda let down with such a wasted opportunity for this theme as the DS remake.

Song: Thermodynamical Remembrance ~ Diligite ex Machina (Ragonis theme)
Composer: LENK64
Original from: Nansei 11.8 - Hills of the Gods
Welcome to Nansei 11.8. Perhaps this is where Nanseis plots start to become noticeable. (I mean, Demons in Wonderland and Destructive Force Monster had some interesting plots, but they werent directly linked to the music, which is the most visible part of Nansei). I like Ragonis arc a lot: xes* a complex character with an interesting motivation. :3
And then theres all hir** interaction with the Gunsos. Its very nice, and it makes this project one of the ones Id like the most to see in a more elaborate way. For some reason, I see this project as a Phantasmagoria-style game, although thats probably just me.
