Talking Tech visits HP at #CES2026 to see next‑gen AI PCs built with #IntelCoreUltra Series 3. The showcase begins with the EliteBook X G2i, a redesigned business laptop available in clamshell and flip models, with a super‑capacitor pen that delivers 2 hours of use from a 30‑second charge. There’s more focus on serviceability, yielding a top‑mount keyboard that can be easily replaced, plus easier access to batteries and fans. Sustainability plays a big role too, with recycled metals from steering wheels, tire rims, and carbon black from tires, along with TUV‑certified recycled copper.
HP also shared that HyperX will be its master gaming brand and demonstrated the HyperX Omen Max 16 laptop featuring new Intel Core Ultra 200HX series processors and up to NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 graphics. It’s got an appetite for power, with a max 300W total platform power and the requisite Tempest cooling system with a larger vapor chamber, three fans, and advanced thermal compound.
Next is the OmniBook that HP made to be rugged without giving up a sleek appearance. It passed 20 mil spec tests and is built with a forged chassis for extra durability.
