I'm back again with another Genshin Ompact OST cover. You can probably tell by now that I really lpve this game for its plethora of amazong OSTs.
This planned project was weeks or months in yhe making. One of Fomtaine (the 5th out of 7 nations) calm OSTs that randomly plays at day or night when you are in the wild. But it gained even more popularity among us Genshin players when this track was used as a BGM for a key moment in Furina's first story quest, "The Little Oceanid" where she sang (voiced by Cecilia Cara ) the last part of the opera she was directing. This BGM plays when you (as the MC) take a stroll with her around Poisson..one of the most heavily hit by the Great Flood in the Prophecy and she finally opens up to you about yhe secret she has been keeping from everyone for 5 centuries (500 years) as she played the role of the Hydro Archon while the real Hydro Archon was working behind the scenes to ensure everyone will survive the prophesized flood.
This one's another emptional piece for me and is quite the challenge to play especially on a 61-key synth. I studied the piece for about 5 days and memorized it for another 3-5 days before o could finally play it without the piece. Another challenge is that this piece has 3 or 4 tenpo changes..and making a tempo map in Reaper doesnt really quite cut it and playing along to the original track is also a hit or miss. In the end, I decided to "play by feel and emotion"..playing the scenes in my mind's eye. And finally, the last hurdle was the dynamics because it's hard to achieve om non-weighted keys..
Special thanks to the Piano Archon of YouTube @ChaconneScott for the free piece. Although there is a small part i changed at the end because i had trouble with that long, stretchy arpeggio. lol. i changed it to how (I think) the original aufio sounded for my own comfortability.. hehe.
So here's my "take 1" attempt. I might redo this when i get an 88 key synth or midi controller.
