Star schema in Power BI is great… but it’s foolish to believe your real-world data will always look like that clean setup.
In reality, you’ll almost always deal with multiple fact tables and multiple dimension tables in Power BI, and that’s where most people get stuck.
In this video, I walk you through how to structure your Power BI data model with multiple fact tables so your DAX calculations become much easier. We also go through 4 levels of calculations, starting simple and moving into more complex scenarios, along with some obscure modeling cases like bridge tables, cross filtering, and expanded tables.
If you’re working with real-world Power BI data modeling, relationships, and DAX, this is something you’ll face sooner or later.
