In this DROPS video we give you a short overview of how to work a sock with a diamond heel. All stitches remain on the needles while knitting the heel. To make the heel, follow these steps:
1. Knit in the round, gradually increasing stitches at the back of the sock until the desired width and length of the heel have been achieved.
2. Decrease the heel stitches while continuing to knit in the round.
3. Continue knitting towards the toe.
4. The combination of increases and decreases forms a diamond-shaped section at the back of the sock, which is why this type of heel is called a diamond heel.
