In this DROPS video we show you how to decrease 1 stitch on each side of 1 knitted stitch. The decreases can be used individually or with several decreases above each other leaving a straight line; great for raglan for example.
BEFORE STARTING THE VIDEO:
The decreases are worked across 5 stitches, with a marker in the middle stitch and decreasing on each side of the marker-stitch.
THE VIDEO SHOWS:
RIGHT SIDE:
Work to 2 stitches before the marker-stitch, knit 2 together, knit the marker-stitch, slip 1 stitch, knit 1, pass the slipped stitch over the knitted stitch (= 2 decreased stitches). If you are decreasing several times above each other (i.e., every 2nd row), remember to decrease directly above the previous decrease.
