How to set up an HTC Vive Controller as a tracked object in SteamVR using a tracker dongle.
Yes, I'm using Glycon in the video, but this technique applies for all SteamVR apps, as well as development in Unity and Unreal.
Once you see it done, it's really simple. Until you see it done, it seems like it might be harder than it is. So I want to show you how easy it is, and what to expect when it happens.
Note that because it is technically still a hand controller, Steam can get confused and try to replace a hand controller with it.
It's usually up to your app to fix that, but you can do it by turning off and turning back on the controllers in different order.
