In this video, I will dive into my process for creating holiday ornaments that once designed can be cut on a CNC router, with a Laser Machine, or printed on a 3D printer.

This video focuses on the designing of the ornaments and exporting the designs in formats that will allow the design to be imported into Lightburn Software, Fusion 360, Tinkercad and other software that can create STLs for 3D printing. The follow-up videos will go through the process of cutting the design on the CNC, cutting the ornament on a laser, and 3D printing the design.
You'll learn step-by-step how to set up the design and toolpaths to be able to make this a repeatable straight forward process for creating many different ornaments not just the one shown in this video.

➡️ How to import svgs and vCarve Template files to start designing the ornament in a standard repeatable process.
➡️ How to import graphics and then manipulate them so that they can be made into an ornament
➡️ How to save the ornament design as an svg that can be easily used in Lightburn software for creating the ornament with a laser
➡️ How to save the ornament design as a dxf that can be easily used in Fusion 360 or Tinkercad software for creating an ornament stl file that can be printed by a 3D printer.
I will make the ornament svg file and vCarve Template file (without the gingerbread design) but the layers and toolpaths needed to start making the design on my website:
