Ratchet straps are fasteners used to secure cargo during transport. When used correctly, these straps can support many different weights and cargo sizes. In order to properly use your ratchet straps, thread the strap through the mandrel and then crank the ratchet to tighten it. To release the strap, press the release tab and open the ratchet.

Ratchet tie-down straps might be fitted with wire hooks, grab hooks, flat hooks, chains, or S-hooks. The end-fitting you need depends on the type of anchor points on the floor or walls of your truck.

1. From bottom, thread webbing through slot in center spool of closed ratchet
2. Pull webbing through, removing the slack
3. Start ratcheting—raising and lowering handle

1. To release, pull & hold release tab on top assembly to override ratcheting function
2. Open ratchet until it is completely open and flat
3. Grab webbing from non-fixed side and pull to release webbing
4. Pull and hold release tab on top assembly to close ratchet
