In this video I want to show you the most authentic way of using Action Replay to cheat in games in Dolphin. Note how I have Cheats turned off in Dolphin's own settings, so Dolphin's own cheat handlers are disabled.
EDIT: Booting Action Replay without the bios seems to be possible in newer versions of Dolphin! (e.g. 17269)
The Action Replay I use is the Action Replay Max (version 1.14a) by Datel. There are extra steps needed to even run the AR disc in dolphin: A gamecube IPL is needed and needs to be placed in /GC/(region of IPL)/IPL.bin in the Dolphin Emulator folder. Skip Main Menu should be disabled in Config/GameCube, and DSP LLE Emulation turned on in Config/Audio. Dual Core needs to be enabled to reduce the amount of errors to click away when booting the disc. The AR disc can now either be ran through the game list in Dolphin or you can boot the GameCube Main Menu, change the disc to the AR and run it that way (which is what I did).
Now you can cheat as it was originally intended!
(I own a physical copy of Action Replay Max and had to dump it using a special version of CleanRip which took several hours. I guess it was worth it? 🤔)

![MKDD: early Sherbet Land race course [ In-Game Video ]
This is play-through of the early/in-development version of Sherbet Land (called dekoboko internally) that can be found in the files of a MKDD demo located on the European November 2003 GC demo disc.
Ive seen some people have trouble getting the level to work, but its actually possible to port the level over into the final version of MKDD.
I put the model, collision and sky box of dekoboko over the final Sherbet Land course, deleted the BTK files and the BTI file that the final Sherbet Land had and also put dekobokos Freezie model over the final Freezie model (snowrock1.bmd), so you see poorly textured freezies saying COOL.
I kept object placement and everything else from the final Sherbet Land. dekoboko comes with some objects and a .BOL file, but most of those objects do not fit in this level and the BOL file caused a crash for me, so I kept the final BOL file for the level.
