Quick video showing how to "USBify" an LED light.
What you need to do is take a USB cord, any cord will work as long as the A plug (the plug that you connect to your computer) is intact. you can use one that a broken plug, even a missing plug. You strip the insulation off the USB cord and you will either find two for a charge only cord or four wires of it supports data transfer. For either cord you need only the red and black wires. red is positive and black is negative. Some cords reverse this so check with a multimeter to make sure. Then strip the insulation off the small wires inside and then tin the ends of the wires and cut a hole somewhere at the bottom of the case between the halves to run the cord. test to see if the light turns on and no wires are pinched, put it back together.

For power I went to walmart and bought one of those ONN power banks which will run you about $10. I like these because they will charge small devices and will automatically turn on when you flip the switch.

I had this light on during a power outage and it lit up my room pretty good.
