How to Convert Locked Index Image to Layer or Background in Photoshop | How to Unlock an Index Layer in Adobe Photoshop

Steps:
1. Select the image.
2. Go to the Image Menu
3. then select Mode
4. then select RGB Color.
Thats it! Youll see that the Index image changed into a Layer or Background, depending on the image extension.
