How to backup your iPhone to Windows laptop using Apple iTunes | How to backup iPhone before updating to the latest iOS 17 Software.

The process of backing up an iPhone using iTunes is the same for Windows 10 and Windows 11.

To back up your iPhone,
1. First Download and Install the latest version of iTunes: apple.com/itunes
2. Connect your iPhone to your computer via WiFi or with the original USB C cable
3. In the iTunes app on your PC, click the iPhone button near the top left of the iTunes window.
4. Click Summary.
5. Click Back Up Now (below Backups).
6. To encrypt your backups, select Encrypt local backup, type a password, then click Set Password.

To see the iPhone backups stored on your computer, choose Edit, then Preferences, then click Devices. Encrypted backups have a lock icon in the list of backups.
