Edge Lighting can be enabled on Samsung Galaxy phones by navigating to Settings Notifications Notification pop-up style, selecting Brief style, and then customizing your preferred lighting effect and color.
Step 1 — Enable Edge Lighting
Open the Settings app on your Samsung Galaxy phone
Tap Notifications, then select Notification pop-up style.
Change the notification style to Brief. This is required, as Edge Lighting does not work with the Detailed notification style
Step 2 — Customize Edge Lighting Style and Color
Within Notification pop-up style, tap Edge lighting style.
Choose an effect under the Effect tab (e.g., Basic, Bubble, Heart, or more advanced effects like glitter or fireworks)
Tap the Color tab to select a preferred color. You can choose from defaults, color swatches, the full spectrum, or even enter a hex code
Use the Advanced tab to adjust transparency, width, and duration of the Edge Lighting effect
Tap Done to apply the settings.
Step 3 — Apply Edge Lighting to Apps and Lock Screen
You can enable Edge Lighting for all apps or select individual apps: go to Settings Notifications Notification pop-up style Apps and toggle on or off for specific apps
To enable Edge Lighting on the lock screen or while the screen is off, go to Notification pop-up style and toggle Show even while the screen is off
