Back pain can sneak up on you. It could be caused by strain, exercise, pregnancy, or simply twisting or bending the wrong way. And, if you don't do something about it (preferably at that first warning pang) you could find yourself in pain and stuck in bed!
Luckily, treating and getting relief for both upper back and lower back pain could be as simple as a few relaxing stretches. In this video, physiotherapist, Jean Lewis shows us how you can avoid and treat minor low back and upper back pain and stiffness easily at home.
A tight back, a stiff spine or bakc discomfort are very common complaints. If ignored, it can impact mobility and lead to other physiological issues. These two stretches are ones you can do everyday as prevention, after a workout or run, or whenever you feel that stiffness or tightness in your upper or lower back.
When your back and spine feel good, your body functions better so try out these simple stretch and let us know how you feel in the comments below.
