We knew this chicken was special from they day we got her. She is very responsive to our calls and likes to always be involved with whatever we are doing at the farm. We thought, let's try and train this chicken or see what she will do for us on command. This chicken is a Transylvanian Naked Neck also called a Turken. She is our best egg layer, although sometime she eats them before we can get to them.
One day we notices she would come up to us and lay like down while stretching her wing and putting one foot out and falling a little on her side. We started talking to her and using the same words, while she was doing this, and speaking in a certain tone, as well. We would try and ask her to lay down again when she had already done it and sometimes she would lay down again. We then would try and ask her to lay down when she would come to us for attention or food. We are pretty sure this chicken was looking for food.
Today, the laying down chicken was very responsive to the request to lay down and show us her wing, so I got the video camera out and here you go YouTube.
