English bulldog vs snake. This non venomous snake just attempted to eat one of the baby chickens and ultimately killed it. I took the six foot long black snake to another part of the property to release it. The dogs, English bulldogs followed along and were very curious what this non venomous snake was all about.
The female dog couldn't help the sniff instinct and got right up in the black snake's face. The snake took a few strikes to warn the her, but she kept coming. Then the bigger, male bulldog wanted to get too close to the snake and while I was filming closer, it struck at him. You can hear the yelp of the bulldog in the video, when the snake bit the dog in the nose.
Then the female bulldog came over to see what the commotion was and maybe come the other dog's rescue. The non venomous black snake took a good hold of her nose for a split second. The dogs decided to surrender and let the snake go on it's way since they couldn't figure out a winning fight strategy. No dogs or snakes were injured, but a chicken was killed by the snake moments earlier.
