Shoutout @GnomonkeyRS as I discovered this trick per his suggestion.
This a short video, but they recently reverted the Muspah back to its old melee behavior, if you're a tile away on the tick it melees, then you'll find it does no damage as long as melee prayer is up.
This makes kiting it a good option again, meaning freezes aren't really needed and you'll save a lot of run energy too!
