This video focuses on defeating Simon, the Divergent Star in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 on New Game/First Playthrough. The goal of this video is to survive Divergent Simon's initial attacks by not parrying or dodging. Only the final attack/hot needs to be dodged, otherwise it results in the party being wiped off the Canvas.
This is done by having sufficient HP and DEFENCE for the Phase 1 Party, which in the video is Maelle and Monoco. Below is the build you need to get this done.

⚔️*BATTLE STRATEGY:*
Simon attacks. Make sure it's a single sword attack and not two. If you see a Green Sword that means he will attack twice. Abandon and restart the battle. Once you see him use just the white sword, just stand your ground as a TANK. Be careful of the final hit, as this is the one you need to dodge. If you don’t, you’ll get Gommaged out of the canvas. This is the only time you need to dodge Simon. Once you’re done with this one dodge, Divergent Simon is done!
*Monoco Turn 1 and 2:* Shoot until no AP is left. Follow it up with the base attack. Because of Combo 3, Monoco will hit the enemy 4 times. Repeat the same for his second turn. We need to make sure that we are over 100 burns on Simon DS or as close to 100, and that the Gradient Bar is almost full.
*Maelle Turn 1:* Shoot once to max the Gradient Bar. Use Last Chance to switch to Virtuose Stance.
*Maelle Turn 2:* She will absorb the Gradient Bar. Do Burning Canvas to finish Phase 1.
Simon will Gommage Maelle and Monoco, so send in your reserve team. Now, it doesn’t matter if Lune goes first or if it’s Verso – both will go before Sciel and need to do their own actions.
*Verso Turn 1:* Do a base attack to apply Burn on Divergent Simon.
*Lune Turn 1:* Use Elemental Trick. All hits will register as critical creating 4 stains if you used the same Attributes, Pictos and Lumina.
*Lune Turn 2:* Do a base attack to turn all her stains into Dark Stains.
*Sciel Turn 1:* Use Fortune’s Fury on Lune.
*Sciel Turn 2:* Use Intervention, so Lune goes right after her turn.
*Lune Turn 3:* Have her use Lightning Dance to finish the battle.
Simon, the Divergent Star is defeated. No parries. No dodges. No Exposing Attack.
