Note: You need to rub the tip of the soldering iron against the surface while applying a bit of pressure. It’s important that the tip makes good contact with the aluminum surface. I noticed that in the video, the sound of this rubbing was filtered out during editing.

I was about to prepare another video for which I needed to solder a copper wire to aluminum. In the past, I made a video showing how to solder a copper wire to aluminum foil using a flux I bought from AliExpress. But today, I noticed that I can actually solder to aluminum even without any flux!
It turns out that the cheap soldering tips from Temu, when they become oxidized, release some byproduct that—when rubbed on the surface of aluminum—allows the solder to adhere very nicely. I demonstrated this on aluminum tape, aluminum foil, an aluminum can, and a 3 mm aluminum sheet. This is really an exciting discovery from me, shared as a small gift to everyone. Enjoy!
