OM System cameras and lenses are well-known for their ease of use and outstanding macro capabilities. So, we headed to South Wales, handing a documentary photographer – and macro novice – an OM-1 Mark II, two macro lenses, and a Godox ML150II ring flash to see how he got on.

Both lenses are designed to capture a world hidden in plain sight, capturing intricate details that you simply cannot appreciate with the naked eye. Aiding this photography challenge is the OM-1 Mark II; a camera offering 50MP or 80MP high-resolution modes (handheld or tripod) and up to 8 stops of stabilisation with a compatible lens (7 stops without). With this kit, this test should be a breeze.
