Why photograph remotely, you might ask? The main benefit is gaining a unique perspective of wildlife without disturbing their natural behaviour.

There are various ways to approach this technique, but for Tom, it comes down to a few key pieces of kit โ€“ most notably, his Atomos Shinobi 2 external monitor. It allows him to see exactly what the camera sees while remaining at a distance, so the scene stays undisturbed.
