How to Sharpen Planer Blades / Knives | Electric Power Planer @AndrewWorkshop

Here is how I sharpen my electric power hand planer blades for my electric hand power planer. The blades are wide and unless you have a specialized grinder it's hard sharpen planer blades accurately so they have a level cutting edge. This method utilizes 3D printing or a table saw to make the fixture to help with the sharpening.

I mostly shape surfboards with my power planer but regardless it's nice to have sharpen cutting blades.

Correction the whetstone I used was a 1000 and 4000 grit.
