Learn 3 methods for sewing with shirring elastic using a sewing machine: Working in rows, sewing continuous rows and working in the round.
Shirring elastic is a very narrow cord elastic which can be used in the bobbin of a sewing machine. It is used to create a gathered effect on cuffs, necklines and waistlines, or throughout a garment such as a top for a fully fitted finish.
