Another short one, but on something I get a lot of requests for - sewing on sequins! Most of my projects involve this process in some way or another, hopefully seeing it in this format makes it seem like something you can do on your own projects!
FUN SEQUIN FACT they have existed for many centuries, there is even evidence they were worn in ancient Grecian times, since small metal "discs" are described as being used to decorate garments.
In the eighteenth century they were popular in court fashion, again being made out of metal. In the 1900s glass sequins became popular, and were eventually followed by the much cheaper and lighter plastic ones we use today.
The sequins in this video were purchased in the garment district, but you can also get them from bead shops and a huge variety of sellers sell them on etsy and ebay.
