Although this bag is made with fabric that is preprinted with half square triangles, you can make it in any fabric you like, quilted or not! It has a welt pocket on the front, hidden by a flap, and a patch pocket on the inside. It is a useful size of bag, that you could easily add fastenings if you wish, and is a very easy project for a beginner sewer.
Materials:
Two 16” squares of outer fabric
Two 16” squares of lining fabric
10” x 20” fabric for the outside pocket
Two 11” x 5” fabric pieces for the pocket flap
8” x 12” fabric for the inside patch pocket
36” x 22” fusible fleece, I used H630 but doubled the thickness
Two pieces of webbing for the handles, each measuring 32” in length
Fuse fleece to the outside bag pieces, plus one side of the pocket flap.
