Sometimes, people manage to get their Epona stuck on the Great Plateau because they summoned her too early. The easiest fix: reload an older save file from before you used the amiibo*, and then find a stable. Scan the amiibo in front of the stable and immediatly register Epona.

Even if you don't manage to get an already summoned Epona down from the Great Plateau (or wherever else you migtht have managed to get her stuck), is there still another way to get her back. Just keep scanning the amiibo in a safe spot, and she'l eventually turn up again.

The very first scan** is guaranteed to spawn her 100% (provided you're not in a spot that doesn't allow horses, like the Gerudo Desert for example) but if you didn't register her already then the amiibo she came from still has a random, low chance to spawn her again. IIRC it was something like 2% but don't quote me on it. Still, you'll likely need to reload an awful lot of times until she decides to appear again, so the method shown in the video might still be faster.

* The amiibos that can spawn Epona are the Twilight Princess Link amiibo and the Smash Bros Adult Link amiibo. No other amiibo will give you Epona.

** The "first time" per playthrough, profile and amiibo. Not "the first time ever". If you start a new game, then the first time you scan the amiibo in that new playthrough is guaranteed to spawn her, even if you used the amiibo in other playthroughs or on other profiles already. If you have multiple amiibos (from a card set. for example then each of them will spawn one Epona, and each has its own "first time guaranteed scan")
