Icom IC-705 is an amazing portable radio offering lots of new possibilities for a portable radio ham. In this video, I was activating a park solely in digital FT8 mode. It was lots of fun, and I've learned couple of things too! Especially, how to cope with the RF feedback ("RF in the shack") which nearly made any operation impossible. There is an answer in the video!

I have also made a successful field test of the BktTimeSync software which is a great helper syncing the laptop's clock by the means of the IC-705's built-in GPS service. When there is no internet access of any kind in the woods, this nice piece of software by IZ2BKT is a life-saver.
