This is a guide on replacing a screen on a Lenovo ThinkPad 11e
To begin press and hold the power button on the right side of the laptop.
Disconnect the power cord.
Next step is to remove two tiny round pieces of plastic which cover
screws in the bottom corners of the bezel. Use a craft knife to pick the covers.
Using Phillips screwdriver remove two screws in the corners
Insert a plastic pick between the bezel and the LCD. Move the pick around
the perimeter unsnapping the bezel. Put the bezel aside.
Using the same screwdriver remove four screws from the corners of the screen.
Place the screen on the keyboard. Using plastic pick and fingers peel off the
clear tape securing the video connector. Open the connector's bracket.
Disconnect the video cable and discard the old screen.
Place the new screen on the keyboard. Reconnect the video cable. Close the
connector's bracket and secure it with clear tape. Lift the screen up and
lean it against the back cover. Now we can test the new screen.
Reconnect the power cord and turn the laptop on. The screen is working and
we can finish installation process.
Replace four Phillips screws in the corners of the screen.
Replace the bezel. Start from the bottom and then go around the perimeter
snapping tabs back in place. Replace two Phillips screws in the bottom
corners of the bezel. Replace two plastic cover.
Turn the laptop on and we are done!
