How to Remove Songs from my Amazon Music Library
You are going to find that it's easier and it actually works to remove the songs by going to your Amazon Music App instead of a PC computer or macbook. And now when you search your song on the app you simply tap the purple heart next to the song to unselect it and remove it from your playlist.
If you've added songs to your Amazon Music library and want to remove them, you can do it from the Amazon Music app or the Amazon Music website. Removing a song from your library does not delete it from Amazon Music—it only removes it from your personal collection.
On the Amazon Music App (iPhone or Android)
Open the Amazon Music app.
Tap Library.
Select Songs.
Find the song you want to remove.
Tap the three-dot menu (⋮) next to the song.
Tap Remove from Library or Remove from My Music.
Repeat these steps for any other songs you want to remove.
On a Windows PC or Mac
Open the Amazon Music desktop app or go to the Amazon Music website.
Sign in to your Amazon account.
Open Library.
Find the song you want to remove.
Click the three-dot menu next to the song.
Select Remove from Library.
Remove Songs Using Alexa
Alexa cannot directly delete songs from your Amazon Music library with a voice command.
However, you can ask Alexa to:
Skip a song.
Play something else.
Stop playing music.
To permanently remove a song from your library, you'll need to use the Amazon Music app or website.
If You're Trying to Remove Songs from an Echo Device
Your Echo speaker does not store songs locally. It streams music from your Amazon Music account.
If a song keeps playing because it's in your library or playlist:
Open the Amazon Music app.
Remove the song from your library or the playlist it's in.
The change will automatically apply to your Echo device the next time it syncs.
Important
Removing a song from your library:
Removes it from Your Library.
Does not cancel your Amazon Music subscription.
Does not delete the song from Amazon Music's catalog.
Does not erase downloaded copies on other devices unless you specifically remove those downloads.
