In this video, we’ll show you how to identify and remove Search Marquis from Mac.

How to remove Search Marquis:
1. Use anti-malware tool

2. Remove suspicious profiles
Go to System Settings — General — Device Management.
If you see a profile you don’t recognize, select it and click the Remove (-) button.
3. Delete unwanted apps
Open Finder – Applications.
Look for any apps you didn’t install or don’t recognize.
Drag them to the Trash and empty it.
4. Check and remove suspicious login items
Go to System Settings — General — Login Items & Extensions. If you notice anything that shouldn’t be there, select the box next to it and click the ‘−’ button.
5. Get rid of malware-related leftovers
In Finder, click Go — Go to Folder.
Copy each of these folder names, and paste them into the search box:
~/Library/LaunchAgents
/Library/LaunchDaemons
/Library/Application Support
~/Library/Application Support
Press Return after each one. Inspect every folder for items with ‘search marquis’ in their names — if you find any, remove them.
6. Reset your browser settings
Go to the Safari menu — Settings.
Choose the Extensions tab and uninstall any suspicious extensions associated with Search Marquis.
Go back to General. Check the homepage and go to Search to set the search engine.
If you’re using Chrome, go to chrome://extensions to check for malicious extensions.
Switch to chrome://settings and choose On startup to set your preferred start page.
After that, go to the Search engine and pick the one you want to use.
