Toilets are recyclable, but not in your curbside bin. While reuse is and option, often older toilets are out-of-code and technically can't be reused in green building. My local CHaRM facility (Center for Hard to Recycle Materials) accepts toilets for recycling. To get the toilet to the recycling center, I used a creative method to fit the toilet into two five-gallon buckets...I let my son smash it with a sledge hammer.
