Learn how to recover deleted files encrypted with fscrypt on an EXT4 partition using Hetman Partition Recovery.
Download Hetman Partition Recovery:
hetmanrecovery.com/hard-drive-data-recovery-software
In this video, we demonstrate several common data-loss scenarios: deleted encrypted files, a deleted EXT4 partition, file system damage, and loss of access to an fscrypt-protected directory.
You’ll see how to create and mount a disk image, scan an EXT4 partition, locate encrypted directories, preview recoverable files, and restore data safely. We’ll also show what to do when Fast Scan is not enough and a deeper Full Analysis is required.
Important: Hetman Partition Recovery does not crack passwords or bypass fscrypt encryption. The software can locate and recover encrypted files in their original form, but you still need the original password or encryption key to access their contents.
The same recovery algorithms can be used with storage devices from Linux and macOS systems, while the demonstration itself is performed in Windows.
Timeline:
00:00 – Introduction
01:30 – What and How fscrypt Encrypts
03:12 – Deleting Encrypted Files
03:47 – Creating and Using Disk Images
04:56 – Recovering Deleted Files
06:07 – Finding and Recovering a Deleted Partition
07:10 – Conclusion
If you have encountered fscrypt data loss, EXT4 corruption, deleted encrypted directories, or inaccessible encrypted files, tell us about your case in the comments.
