Learn how to recover data from an Infortrend ESDS 1012 RC DAS with RAID 5, including deleted files, formatted LUNs, lost Thin and Thick Volumes, deleted partitions, snapshots, controller failures, and damaged RAID configurations.

πŸ”— Hetman RAID Recovery:

In this video, we demonstrate how Hetman RAID Recovery automatically detects RAID parameters, reconstructs the array, finds Thin and Thick Volumes, identifies snapshots, and recovers lost data.

You will also learn how to safely connect RAID disks directly to a computer, create bit-by-bit disk images before recovery, restore files after formatting or partition deletion, find missing Infortrend partitions, analyze snapshots, and manually reconstruct a RAID 5 when metadata is damaged or unavailable.

The demonstration is performed on macOS, but the recovery workflow in Hetman RAID Recovery is also applicable to Windows and Linux.

The test configuration uses an Infortrend ESDS 1012 RC RAID 5 with three disks and a 128 KB stripe size, including Thin Volumes, Thick Volumes, and snapshots.

Hetman RAID Recovery can automatically read RAID metadata and reconstruct supported configurations. If RAID metadata is damaged or unavailable, the RAID Constructor allows you to manually specify the RAID level, disk order, block size, and parity layout.
