Samsung's Dual recordings feature lets you capture video using two cameras simultaneously. You can use this feature for reaction videos, tutorials, interviews, travel videos, demonstrations, vlogs, and other situations where you want to show yourself and the scene at the same time. Samsung's Galaxy S26 documentation confirms that Dual recordings can record with two cameras simultaneously and supports different viewing layouts.
To start, open the Camera app and select Video mode. Tap the Quick controls icon and select Dual recordings. Choose the Picture-in-picture view or Split view option, depending on how you want the front and rear camera views to appear.
With Picture-in-picture view, one camera appears in a smaller window over the main camera view. You can adjust the size and position of the smaller window. With Split view, the two camera views are displayed together in a split layout.
Before recording, check the framing of both cameras. Make sure your face or main subject is properly positioned in the front-camera view and that the rear-camera view captures the scene you want to show.
For better results, use good lighting, keep the phone steady, and avoid covering either camera or microphone with your fingers. A tripod or stable phone mount can be useful for interviews, demonstrations, and longer recordings.
You can also choose how the Dual recordings are saved. Samsung provides an option to save the two camera recordings as separate files, which is useful when you want to edit the front and rear camera footage independently. Open Quick controls, tap Settings, select Dual recordings, and choose Save in separate files.
If you want one combined presentation instead, use the available Picture-in-picture or Split view layout and check the resulting video in Gallery after recording.
If you cannot find Dual recordings, check the current Camera interface and software version. Samsung's support information for the Galaxy S26 series provides instructions for accessing Dual rec through the Video mode and Quick controls.
