How to Make Gaming-Style Videos on Samsung Galaxy S26, S26 Plus and S26 Ultra Camera Step by Steps
Learn how to create gaming-style video recordings on the Samsung Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26 Plus, and Galaxy S26 Ultra Camera. This setup is useful for gaming content, reaction videos, gameplay commentary, tutorials, walkthroughs, livestream-style clips, and social media videos.
A gaming-style recording can combine gameplay or another main video with a face-cam style camera view. On supported Samsung Galaxy devices, Dual recordings can record from two cameras simultaneously, allowing you to create a Picture-in-Picture style layout with one camera feed displayed over another.
To try this setup, open the Camera app and select Video mode. Open Quick Controls and look for Dual recordings. Select it and choose the Picture-in-picture layout when available. You can use the rear camera for the main view and the front camera for your face-cam overlay.
Before recording, check both camera previews. Position your face inside the smaller window and make sure it does not cover important information in the main video. Depending on the available controls, you may be able to adjust the size or position of the smaller camera window.

If you are recording actual gameplay from the Galaxy S26 screen, remember that screen recording and Camera Dual recordings are different features. For gameplay capture, use the phone's built-in screen recording or supported gaming tools. You can then use a video editor to combine gameplay footage with a face-cam recording when required.
If your goal is to record yourself while showing a game, the Camera app's Dual recordings feature can create a camera-based Picture-in-Picture effect. For a true gameplay overlay containing the phone's screen and your face camera, a screen-recording workflow may be more appropriate.
If Dual recordings is not visible, check Video mode and Quick Controls. On newer Samsung software, Dual rec can be integrated into Video mode, while Camera Assistant may provide access to Dual rec as an additional camera mode on supported devices.
You can also check the available Dual recordings save options. Depending on the software version, you may be able to save the recording as previewed or save the individual camera streams as separate files for later editing.
If the recording is unstable, use a stable support, enable an appropriate stabilization option when available, and avoid unnecessary camera movement. For audio, keep the microphones clear and test the recording before creating a long gaming video.
